when i bought this guitar i wasn't expecting much, due to the price, but it was way worse than i expected. It showed up and as soon as i pulled it out of the box, i could see that every string was rusty. i tried it out anyway. when i strum every single string buzzed. i figured it just needed tunning to tighten the strigns. that was not the case. every string buzzed at the top. its just not worth buying. you have to work too much to get it right

I'm a beginner so I don't know a lot about guitars but my husband plays and he seems pleased with it. Also, it's a really good looking guitar. We just tuned it and I think I'm gonna love it.



On a side note, don't buy this guitar thinking it is one that has a built in tuner with the electrics cause it doesn't. Guitars with those are usually a bit more expensive. Other than that, it is great!

Elixir strings are the best. I've always used Elixir ever since I first used them around 5 years ago. These newer ones are even better. Sounds great, feels great and did I mention that it sounds great!! Very long lasting. Because I live in a part of the world that don't have these and are hard to come by the last set of elixir I had on my guitar was on there for more than a year.....and it still sounded great.

I put a set of Elixir Nanoweb custom light strings on my main acoustic guitar maybe a couple of months ago. Although I don't play gigs on it, I play the guitar just about every day, or maybe every other day. The custom lights are wonderful: great durability, nice tone and projection, easy on the fingers. I bought a set of the Elixir extra lights for a Laguna 3/4 size travel guitar I have. The reasoning was that the lighter body guitar with a shorter scale could use lighter strings, thereby putting less stress on the body. Compared with the light D'Addario strings that came with the guitar, these have a more muffled low E string. The A string, too, doesn't project as much as the standard strings. Although I've not tried the extra lights on my full-sized acoustic, I suspect that there, too, the lower strings would not have the presence or ring of other brands. Even with the custom light set--where the lower strings are a heavier gauge than a normal light set--the bass notes have a slight hint of that muffled quality. The thing that most players of Elixirs seem to talk about is the playability and the durability. They are smoother feeling than non-coated strings, and certainly don't degrade because of perspiration nearly as quickly as regular strings. The other thing that's important to know, though, is that the Elixirs are excellent at holding a tune, once they're stretched and broken in. That being said, I'm not sure that I would put the extra lights on the Laguna again because of the bass projection issue: a small guitar has little enough bass to begin with and these strings don't help. As you might have guessed, though, I'm thoroughly convinced about the custom lights on the full-sized acoustic.

I bought this World Tour guitar bag a few weeks ago. It is a very nice made bag and the big front pocket is a nice touch. The padding is ok and all zippers are smooth.

But when I opened the plastic bag I'd found some white stuff on the front of the bag. Looked closer it was some fungus growing on it. Yuck! Fortunately some alcohol wipe took care of it. Otherwise it should earn a 5 stars.

The size and general features are fine (zipper, backpack like straps, pocket in the front)but the padding is so thin. It feels like it won't protect the guitar at all, except against very minor tension or nicks. I think its worth it to get a more heavy duty one if you want to actually protect the guitar. If you just need it for superficial transport, it should suffice.

This is only my second guitar ever, but I have to say it feels great. It sounds so much better than the first one i got here off amazon. Couldn't be happier with it. Word of advice to people looking for their first guitar; if you plan on playing guitar for more than, say a year, it's better off going with something like this. I bought a $100 dollar guitar for my first one and almost immediately regretted not springing the extra cash for something like this, something that'll last me a while. this is just my own experience as a broke ass college student. anyways this guitar rocks.

I've played for 3 months and I've had this guitar for 2 months. It is the first guitar I've bought and I'm very happy with it. I'm planning on having a bone nut and saddle put in because I believe this guitar is worth investing into. Maybe 10 years down the road I'll get a "pro" guitar but I don't plan on ever getting rid of this baby unless I give it to a real good friend.



6/27/10 update: I put in bone bridge pins and bone saddle from Bob Colosi online. I highly recommend you check him out just google his name to get his website. The guitar sounds a lot better and brighter! D'Addario strings also helped I didn't like the stock strings very much. This guitar really rings now! The bridge pins made a greater difference than I ever thought. I didn't put in a bone nut because it only helps tone for open strings and I don't like inconsistency in sound from open strings to closed ones. The bone pins gives the guitar more "punch" and call me crazy but with those pins the strings sound better the older they get. The punchiness gets better and better until a string breaks.

I bought this capo because it was advertised for "curved" necks. However, this capo has a flat edge and does not work on a curved fretboard. My 1968 Rickenbacker 360 has a curved fretboard which prevented my trusty Shubb capo from working properly. This capo will not work any better. This capo otherwise works OK, but I prefer the compact and fast-acting Shubb design. Don't buy this if you have a curved fretboard.
