Although it is so pretty and purple for a little girl, the color isnt the same in person as in the picture online. That is easy enough to get over, however we have only had it a week and one of the strings has already broken. It was when my husband picked it up and played a few notes, so it wasnt that is was being played with too rough! We will be learning how to replace strings so we dont spend a fortune on repairs if this is going to be a consistent problem.

I was a little worried about the quality of the guitar I ordered, but when I opened the box I was very pleased! Another reviewer had said the decal was not very good, but I disagree. It is embedded nicely into the guitar and has a faded look to make it look worn or vintage. My granddaughter wants to start guitar lessons and as she is just 7 this guitar seemed the right combination of size and quality for a child beginner musician. When the shipment arrived and we opened the carton, we discovered that two guitars had been shipped instead of one. We opened one of the guitar boxes and found that the Tinkerbell art on the front of the guitar was so cheap that some of it was missing. We then opened the second box and discovered the same problem. While the guitar itself seemed to be constructed OK, the impression left by the 3rd rate cheaply applied Disney logo art on both guitars was bad enough that we sent the whole shipment back for a refund.

The M-Audio Axiom is a portable, light weight MIDI controller that connects with any computer via USB. It's function is to control either software instruments in a DAW or soft synths. This is not a traditional keyboard. It does not have internal speakers.



I use the Axiom with my Macbook Pro and Apple's Logic and the integration is seemless. Straight out of the box, the only setup was to plug the controller in via the computer's USB port.



I am a pianist and was looking for a cost-effective and portable solution to recording. The Axiom certainly filled that need. The functionality is great, almost overwhelming at first. But once you get used to the keyboard, it works well.



The reasons I like the keyboard are:



1. Light weight and extremely portable. I like to shuffle around to different places to record and with this controller, it is very easy.



2. Layout. The layout of the controller is pretty standard, but the varying controls are very accessible.



3. The price. There are a number of much more expensive options out there, but this one took the cake for me and it was partly because of price. Most controllers do not provide weighted keys and other options at this price range.



The reason I give it 4 stars as opposed to 5 are because:



1. It has 49 keys. I debated over whether I should buy a full size or a 49 key and wish I had sprung for the full size. The reason as you can imagine is for breadth of tones. While the keyboard has a modulation wheel, having to stop playing to change octaves is a bit of a drag.



2. "Semi-weighted" Keys. The keys are not completely weighted and because I'm a trained pianist, the keys require some adjustment to my playing to bring out the correct dynamics.



Overall, had I the option to select another controller, I would have chosen the Axiom 61-key controller as the keyboard is a well-priced entry controller.

Out of the box, it was a bit of a challenge figuring out the ableton lite software. But after a few minutes of reading and learning how to use it, the results were amazing.

The keyboard looks and feels awesome and carries a good amount of weight. The sliders and knobs feel clean and are extremely easy to assign. The lcd is something i'm still working on understanding, and the beat pads respond nicely.





This product is awesome so far. I'll post another review if it breaks within a year of use.

I bought my Axiom 49 on November 22 from Amazon... it worked fine up till December 26th... I was able to make a couple demos with it before the screen when blank and it stopped communicating with my laptop. This happened all of a sudden and all indications are (from the M-Audio forum) that this is a manufacture's defect. I am in the process of returning this item to Amazon for an exchange; I hope this process goes smoothly. I will let you all know how it goes!

I love this keyboard!!! I am a singer who tries to make her own music :-P I get a little cross-eyed when it comes to complicated equipment, but all I had to do was plug and play. I am upgrading from the M-Audio Keystudio, and there is absolutely no comparison. Well worth the money. It's like buying a drum machine and a drumpad all in one. I just opened the box and tested it out 5mins ago so I haven't even explored the full potential of it. BTW I am using Garage band on a MacBook Aluminum 13" and the Macbook Pro......thenewer version of garageband stopped reading the Keystudio keyboard so I had to get a new one, and it worked automatically!!!

The Auralex MOPAD Monitor Isolation Pads come with 8 pieces of foam. 2 pairs of bottom pieces and 2 pairs of thinner wedges to change the angle that the monitors sit. This is a good design in that they will accommodate a wide range of monitor sizes.



The MOPADs do a good job on 2 fronts. first, they isolate your monitors from the surface they are sitting on which helps tighten up their low end. Second, they give you the ability to change the tilt angle of the monitors so the tweeters are aimed directly at your ears.



These would easily rate a five star rating except for their price. It seems that about half of what they sell for would be right for a bunch of pieces of foam. That said, I still bought them and I'm glad I did.

This is a quick review, but I thought I'd throw my two cents in.



I bought these pads with the intention of tightening up the bass response of my monitors. The difference was immediately noticeable. I first tested them on my glass desk just to get an idea of how much isolation was really taking place in a worst case scenario. I'll be honest, in my opinion the glass desk was still pretty unbearable.



Fortunately, I have speaker stands, and when used with the auralex pads, the bass sounded much more accurate with distinct separation. In addition, the tightening of the bass seemed to clean up the overall response of the monitors, effectively creating a sharper listening experience.



Initially, I was hesitant to spend roughly forty bucks on foam pads. After checking out some reassuring reviews and realizing that making my own would require more effort and research than I was willing to give, I decided to take the small risk. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.



Also, the ability of the pads to isolate while tilting your monitors upwards or downwards is a welcome benefit.

I keep my Mackie monitors perched on thses next to the IMac screen. I was a bit skeptical untill I did an A/B comparison and realized how much rumble the monitors were picking up from the desk....amazing. I particularly like the abiltiy to angle my speakers at the right 'ear level'. Bought a second set for our home theater speakers.

I have been on the journey for the perfect strings for my acoustic guitar. I tried these out for a couple of months. These strings sound good. They last forever. It took me a while to figure out that the guitar sounded like nanoweb strings. I know it sounds weird but when i put on any other brand the guitar took on whole different tones and the wood vibrated in my chest. Each time i would come back to Elixir the sound was flat and too bright. The high end was kind of screwy. I am a fingerstyle blues player (pre-war). I also play rock and folksy stuff. Some people swear by them. I just find EXP and ej16's to make the guitar sound better.

I could not believe the difference in the sound and feel of my Takamine Jasmine when I put these strings on it. It made a very good sounding guitar into a great sounding one.

The strings are smooth and easy to fret and they have amazing vibration and "ring" to them.



I would very much recommend these to anyone with strings that are a little too rough on your fingers...the strings I replaced were some real killers and these make it possible to enjoy my guitar again.



They are a little on the pricey side compared to other brands, but if they last as long as they claim, they will be well worth the money.

I've been playing fingerstyle acoustic blues/folk for about seven years now, I play for several hours a day, and these are my favorite strings. Their sound is mellower but still bright- meaning they don't have that tin sound common to fresh strings, and they hold up longer. They don't break often (and I really snap my strings). Also, because of the coating your fingertips don't stick to the strings- it's so much nicer that I consistently notice when I pick up someone else's guitar that other types of strings grab at your fingers- not preferable. They are not much more expensive than other brands if you buy them online. I use the nanoweb custom lights (want to be somewhat gentle with my old guitar). On the down side, you may get spoiled with them....

Based on reccomendations from both here and on Musicians friend for CAD mics, I bought this set for my son to record his drum kit (bass/3 toms/snare/bunch of cymbals). For the price you can't beat these mics for home recording. Sounds great into a mixer then into computer (pro tools software). Decent (secure) mounts, nice case included, quality housings. Most importantly, the sound is high quality. A decent bass sound, very good tom sounds and the condensers are good too. Very pleased, would purchase again..... NOTE: If you don't already have, you will need to purchase 7 XLR mic cables (not included $$$!!!).

I am very proud of these microphones. I was sceptical at them being such a low price but i really needed them for my studio and the results were totally amazing. My only complaint which really isnt even then a complaint was why there was a need for 2 snare mics. But luckly the snare mics were also good for high toms as well which is what i used the other one for. I highly reccomend these for anyone else looking for a drum mic set as well.

CD Pro-7 7 Piece Drum Mic Touring Pack is a good buy. I have a set of Roland electronic drums - they are good but not the same as acoustic drums. This microphones do an excellent job capturing the sound and the price is unbelievable but true. The hardest part is setting the sound level and mix. You really need a trained ear to help you or an a VERY good set of head phones.

These mics for the money are awsome....The overheads pick up your cymbals excellent....if they are to hot flip the two switches on them to cut down on the sensativity.

The tom,snare and bass drum mics sound sweet in a live setting.

I have not recorded with this mic pac,,,but read reviews saying they sound great.

the mounts for these mics work great with flanged drum hoops...my snare has a cast hoop and the clamp still works with it,but you can tell these clamps are intended for flanged type hoops.

the only negative I have about this mic pac is that you cant buy any of these mics in this kit one at a time,,,,I have 2 more toms to mic and to do that I have to get the 4 peice mic pac to get 2 more tom mics. the mics are so good for the price that I'll end up doing that though.
