The Furman M-8Dx power conditioner was the culminating purchase in the process of upgrading to a new home theater system. With the total value of equipment installed, I did not want to use a standard power strip so I began the process of researching power conditioners and surge protectors. This unit clearly sits at the intersection of great features and acceptable price. The construction is all metal and solid with plenty of outlets on the back plus a handy outlet on the front of the unit. I have not used the front outlet yet, but my component cabinet configuration makes this a real plus. The digital voltmeter is a cool feature not normally seen at this price point. I have had the unit installed for about two months and have had zero issues. Would buy it again with no concerns.

This is a nice investment to protect your expensive equipment. I'm buyimg another one. It's only 1800 Watts Max at 15 Amps.

Ordered this on Friday at Amazon and received it on Monday... Best price on the web. It works great, the lights are a plus, the voltage readout looks OK but agree that an ammeter would be a better thing to have or both... it wouldn't take much more to build it that way.
