I wanted to put a strap on a borrowed guitar to avoid accidents. Since I did not want to alter the neck, I decided to try this. It was very easy to install, and looks neater than laces. I think it's also safer than knots, and can be removed easily if need be. It doesn't interfere with my hand, and I can still leave the strap on when I put the guitar in its case. Just what I needed.

Purchased this for my my Hubby for Father's Day. He was able to put this on his guitar in a matter of minutes and did not even start to break a sweat! I own a couple of vintage guitars (1972 Gibson Dove and a 1988 Martin D-35)and am very careful about straps, I did not want to install a button and drill through the wood. I found this quick release system wonderful and feel secure using it.
Its simple to use very inexpensive and has lasted over a two year period of constant use.
Highly recommend.
By the way I have not had a problem with strap slipping from my shoulder.
