This is just what we needed to have a safe place to put the new electric guitar.
I agree with other reviewers that it's better sized for an acoustic -- the hooks are wider than they need to be for an electric and yes, the electric is mighty close to the ground. The distance to the ground is the one thing I'd change here.
The major parts are hollow metal, so it's strong but lightweight. There are caps on the bottom piece, so it won't scratch our wood floors. The hook/holder parts have a foam padding to better protect the guitar as you're putting it down. And it folds in half, so you can better pack it up if you need to.
For less than ten dollars, I can't imagine finding anything better.

I bought this for my acoustic guitar and it perfectly fits it with a sturdy stand. I know my guitar won't stumble because of the sturdy built of this stand. Great buy for me and I highly recommend it for everybody with a tight budget for a good stand.
