Martin humidifiers are made from the finest materials available. The tubes on the Martin humidifier are extruded from the finest non-vinyl and non-allergenic resin, soft enough not to exert pressure around the soundhold and sufficiently sturdy to minimize contact with the inside parts of your guitar. The water suction stem within the Martin humidifier absorbs ten times its weight in water and slowly emits moisture through the holes.

I have several of these now, and have given them as gifts.
Pros:
No hard parts. You could probably hurl this thing at your guitar without damaging either the guitar or the humidifier. (I was always afraid I would accidentally lay my guitar on my Planet Waves humidifier and mess up the guitar.)
It doesn't rot or get otherwise cruddy. Again, Planet Waves turned into a crumbly rotten mess that refused to absorb water.
Fast and easy to load with water. Recharging the Planet Waves is a slow tedious process.
Cheaper than Dampit.
Cons:
None that I could find.
These guys work.

If it's really dry you can place more than one of these in your guitar easily and raise the humidity quite a bit. Where I live, this is the only humidifier that's raised the humidity over about 38% (using two). I've actually had to be careful as I've hit almost 60%.
Using a humidity gauge in the case you can really fine tune the humidity, and because it doesn't cover the soundhole it humidifies the entire guitar.
Nice product, and Martin wouldn't make anything that would hurt your instrument. Just be sure to squeeze out the excess water.
